FV/Charter/Dive "Tura"

Steel mono hull with a well raked stem and square transom, built in 1985 as a cray fishing boat and converted in 1999 in Tasmania to a charter vessel carrying 12 passengers. The superstructure was modified in August 2015, with the wheelhouse being relocated 6M astern to create a working fore deck. Currently in use as Charter vessel Queensland Australia and Southern Rock Lobster Vessel Tasmania Australia.

Yanmar model 6HAMH2E3 motor developing 200kw that gives a nominal speed of 10 knots. The motor drives a 4-blade phosphor bronze propeller, on a 100mm stainless steel shaft through a ‘ZF’ gearbox, with a 4.95:1 turn-down ratio. Fuel capacity is 9,000 litres in two individual tanks. Fuel consumption is 30 litres per hour.

Two of Yanmar model 4TNE-98, 60hp diesels auxiliaries driving a 38kVa genset, providing single and 3-phase, 240V power. An hydraulic bow thruster is fitted, with 2 contra-rotating 4-blade propellers. A 130 lph de-salinator is fitted and a ‘Sani-loo’ sewerage treatment system powered from batteries.

Steel construction - hard chine with 6mm hull plating and 6mm deck plating. The side framing comprises 150x100x10mm angle section at 1.00M centres, with 75x6mm flat bar longitudinals.

Two Danforth pattern 200lb anchors with 165M of 22mm stud link chain, on an hydraulic ‘Cloverdale’ windlass. A ‘Fassi’ hydraulic lifting boom is fitted between the dinghies for launching and for stores. SWL 35o kgs at maximum radius.

The main engine has two x 24V batteries for starting. Each auxiliary motor has a dedicated 12V battery for starting. There is a bank of 8x6V batteries for emergency house use, with 4x12V emergency batteries in the wheelhouse and 1x24V battery for the radios etc.

The full suite of equipment is fitted in the wheelhouse, comprising but not limited to, radar, GPS plotter, echo sounder, compass and radios.

Other equipment includes:
EPIRB Pyrotechnics , ‘Mistex’ smothering system in the engine space, 10 portable fire extinguishers , Fire alarm monitoring system, 4.55M ‘Magnum’ aluminium dinghy powered by a 40hp outboard motor, 4.25M ‘Magnum’ aluminium dinghy powered by a 40hp outboard motor 25-man SOLAS inflatable liferaft 16 PFD’s 2 life-buoys, 1 fitted with MOB light & line, 1 with line only, Defibrillator and medical oxygen.

In current survey under the USL regime, designated 1B/3B. Licensed to carry 12 passengers and 6 crew in offshore waters, but not more than 200nm from the coast. Survey current to May 2021.

The"Tura" inspects well and all fittings are clean and well maintained. The engine space is clean and well lit. Maintenance is on-going and all equipment is operational.
